The Starfish Pack Program helps address weekend food insecurity by providing elementary school students with packs of nutritious meals to take home each Friday. Designed to support children who rely on school meal programs during the week, Starfish ensures they have enough to eat over the weekend, helping improve their focus, well-being, and ability to learn.
Forever Home Sanctuary is a local Vernon-based rescue dedicated to providing abused, neglected, and displaced farm animals with a safe, loving place to live out their lives. Caring for animals such as goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, and donkeys, the sanctuary not only offers lifelong care but also helps educate the community about the unique value of farm animals. Through compassion, education, and meaningful human-animal connections, Forever Home Sanctuary is creating a brighter future for both animals and the people who care for them.
